In 1982 when India was introduce with its first luxury train named ‘Palace on Wheels’ nobody would have an idea that it will bring a revolution in the Indian tourism industry. With the introduction of the Palace on Wheels, Indian railways have taken a new turn in terms of tourism. The trains which were only considered as the mode of transportation is now started seeing trains as a matter of luxury. Till date Palace on Wheel is served as the most revered luxury on India. Inspired by the royal carriages used by royal family, the train recreates the aura and opulence of a bygone era. Esthetically designed, this train has 14 aesthetically appointed carriages. Each cabin in this train showcases the unique culture and heritage of that particular princely state. Equipped with all world class facilities these carriages are filled with all contemporary amenities such as television telephone, lounge, souvenir shop and a spa salon. There is a well-stock bar in the train which is filled with the choicest of wines. The restaurant in the train serves a delectable range of cuisine that suffices every plate in the train. Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Wednesday - New Delhi – Reporting Time 1800 hrs & Dep 18:30 hrs

Your lavish journey with this luxury trains will be starting at the Safdarjung Railway Station at Delhi. You will be welcomed with the warm heart and in traditional style. You will be travelling in the luxury of trains for overnight and travelled to the fascinating Rajasthan.


Day 2: Thursday – Jaipur – Arrival – 3.45 hrs & Dep 11:30 hr

Jaipur excursion will begin with the visit to Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) which will be followed by the visit to mesmerizing Jantar Mantar – An astronomical observatory established according to Vastu Shastra (Indian architectural science). You will then visit to City Palace which was once the home of royal family. Today it is serving as a museum holding the specimen from bygone Rajputi era. An elephant ride in Amber fort will surely enhance your Jaipur tours. After taking lunch, you will then explore the markets of Jaipur which are famous for traditional handicrafts items, gems and jewelry, Jaipuri rajais (Quilts), traditional cloths and etc. Also visit to Jal Mahal (Palace on water) which is located amidst the Man Sagar Lake. By 1800 hrs, you will be back to train for evening tea, scrumptious dinner and an onboard overnight stay.


Day 3: Friday – Sawai Madhopur – Arrival – 5.30 hrs & Dep 10:30 hrs

Start your 3rd Day morning by visiting to the world famous Ranthambore National Park. The park is the perfect destination for all nature buffs. Spread in 1334 sq km, Ranthambore National Park offers its visitors some rally amazing view of strip cats along with a wide range of exotic species of animals. The place is photographers’ delight. You can easily spot Bengal tigers, panthers, pythons, deer and numerous species of birds during your jungle safari under your Ranthambore tourism. Return to Palace on wheels and then you will have breakfast on board, Lunch on board, and post lunch you will depart for the historic city of Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh arrival – 4:00 & Dep 2:00 You will visit the magnificent fort of Chittorgarh which is also considered as the oldest fort of India. The fort is accessible after ceremony seven gates. Rana Kumbha palace and Padmini Palace in the fort are considered as the master pieces of Rajput artisans.


Day 4: Saturday – Udaipur – Arrival – 8.00 hrs & Dep 3:30 hrs

After you reach in the Venice of East, you will start exploring the city by visiting the most amazing lakes and monuments houses by the city. Udaipur was established in 15th century by Maharaja Udai Singh. Some major attractions of the city are Jagdish temple, Lake Pichola, City Palace complex and the Crystal Gallery. In evening you will enjoy the boat ride in Lake Pichola. Dinner and overnight stay on board.


Day 5: Sunday - Jaisalmer – Arrival – 9.15 hrs & Dep 11:45 hrs

The city enters the Golden City on the 5th Day. Have a delicious breakfast on the board and embark for a sightseeing tour of the city. The Sonar Quila, a marvel built with yellow sand stone is one of the major attractions in the city. Famous for old mansion and havelis, Udaipur houses some really exotic havelis such as Patwaon ki havelis, Nathmalagi Ke havelis and Salim Singh Ji Ki havelis are just to name a few. Explore the markets of Udaipur and the have a lunch in best restaurant in the city. Later leave to explore the cherishing view of Sam Sand Dunes and by night return to train and depart for Jodhpur.


Day 6: Monday – Jodhpur – Arrival 7:00 & Dep 3.30 hrs

Your sixth day will start with excursion to the Mehrangarh Fort which was built in 1459. It is among the best architectural marvel in Jodhpur. Then you will visit the places like Jaswant Thada and the Umaid Bhawan palace. Your lunch will be organized in a palace hotel. Post lunch you will explore the market. Back to train for on board dinner and overnight stay.


Day 7: Tuesday – Bharatpur – Arrival 5:00 & Dep 8.45 hrs

Your morning will start with the visit to UNESCO declared world heritage site of Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. You will love enjoying the rickshaw ride while watching more than 375 species of local as well as migrated bird. Back to train for breakfast onboard and then off to Agra at 8.45 AM. By 10.30 AM you will reach Agra and start your excursion by visiting UNESCO declared world heritage site of Agra Fort. You will then visit the traditional markets of the city where you can purchase traditional items of jewelry, leather goods and marble souvenirs and etc. Dinner will arranged at one of the best city hotel. Back to train and off to Delhi.


Day 7: Wednesday – Back to Delhi – Check Out at 8:00

At last back to Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi and Tour Ends.
